I'm trying to find information about the Taylors who settled in
Caledonia County, Peacham or Orange Co, Vermont. My gggrandmother was
Mary Hawley Sawyer, her mother was Betsy Taylor. I believe her sister
was Nancy Jane Taylor who married Darius Woodard in 1800. Family lore
and oral histories have indicated that Mary was of Abenaki indian
descent from her mother's line.
It is much more difficult to research the women. Mahalo nui
