John, From http://www.vanished.com/pages/free_lib/rankin_co.html , I can
add a little (unverified) to your email above quoted:

Alson L. Taylor who married Nancy J CORDELL on 16 Dec 1852 is probably
the son of Armstead L Taylor.

Nancy is probably the sister of Sarah CORDELL who married your B.W.
Taylor on 12 Nov 1846.

Laban Taylor married Elizabeth WATKINS on 19 Jan 1840.

Reuben S. Taylor married Martha GOWLEY (GOURLEY) on 29 Oct 1834. Could
this name difference be the result of an incorrect transcription by
those who created the Rankin Co Marriage List?

Jonathan Taylor who married Theatus HASTY on 2 Oct 1850 is probably the
son of Alvin W Taylor. Would you advise me of his birthdate. It is
typoed above.

There are three other Taylor men on this list of marriages. I can't do
anything with them but list them for whatever good it may do:

John Taylor m. Nancy GASSAWAY on 6 Jan 1847.
John P Taylor m. Catharine FUZZEL on ? Sep 1840.
Parmenias Taylor m. Mildred Ann WATERS on 15 Jan 1848.

There were also 3 female Taylors on the list of marriages from Rankin
Co., two named Elizabeth and one named Sara. I neglected to copy down
more.

Finally, I have nothing on a Sanders Taylor, son of Alson and Sarah
Nicholson. They had two boys, Alexander b. 1839-40 and Roderick b. 1842,
according to the censuses. Might not Sanders be the son of Jonathan,
and Jonathan's Alexander really be the son of Alson Taylor?

I'm certainly hoping we can learn more about William and his children.
Meanwhile my week has been made by what you and Marietta have provided.
