TAYLOR, MILDRED JACKSON
On Wednesday, October 29, 1997, in Seattle, WA. She is survived by two
brothers; one sister; four nieces; three nephews; a host of other relatives
and friends. Visitation Tuesday, November 11, 11 a.m. until service at 12
noon at the JOHNSON & JENKINS FUNERAL HOME, 716 Kennedy St., NW. Interment
Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Velma Taylor
Childress----------Velma Kimbrough Taylor, 98, died Sunday, Oct.19, 1997,
in Texarkana.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Central Christian Church with her
nephew, the Rev. Donald Kimbrough from Friona, officiating. Burial will be
in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Other arrangements were by
East Funeral Home in Texarkana. Mrs. Taylor was born in Parker County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzo B. Taylor Sr. Survivors
include two sons, Max Taylor of Texarkana, Ark. and L.B. Taylor of Midland;
a daughter, Jo Evelyn Carpenter of Bracketville; a sister, Alta Bennett of
Childress; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six
great-great-grandchildren.

TAYLOR, MABLE REBECCA (PRICE)
On Thursday, November 27, 1997, at Greater Southeast Community Hospital,
beloved mother of Robert J., William (Jack) P. and James E. Price. Also
survived by two brothers, Rufus and Raymond Jennings; three sisters, Mary
Louise Williams, Pattie J. Mitchell and Margaret Jennings; a
daughter-in-law, Mrs. James E. (Kay F.) Price; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and
friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30 from 6 to 9
p.m. at the ROBERT G. MASON FUNERAL HOME, 1661 Good Hope Rd., SE. Services
and Interment will be handled by Hargett Funeral Service, Greensboro, NC.

TAYLOR, BETTY ANN (Lancaster)
On Thursday, October 9, 1997, at her residence in Fairfax, VA.
Beloved wife of Brent Wren Taylor; mother of Jeffrey Brent and Gregory
Lancaster Taylor. She is also survived by one grandchild, Ethan Wren
Taylor; sister of Lloyd Lancaster and Fred Lancaster of Charlotte, NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 9350
Braddock Rd., Burke, VA on Saturday, October 11, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with a
reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd.

died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, in Union Hispital, Dover, Ohio, after a long
illness.

Elizabeth M. Taylor
NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio -- Elizabeth Myrtle Taylor, 62, of New Philadelphia,
formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, in Union
Hospital, Dover, Ohio, after a long illness. She was a retired factory
worker for Epic Technologies, Dover, with 22 years of service.
Surviving: sons, Ralph of New Philadelphia, Bill of Charleston; daughter,
Karen Harris of Louisiana; sister, Martha Summers f Charleston; brother,
Lloyd Smith of Sissonville, W.Va.; half-brother, Russell Fields of Dunbar,
W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Long-Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico,
W.Va., with the Rev. Clarence Edens officiating. Burial will be in Hackney
Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the
funeral home.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Archer Lee Taylor; one devoted
daughter, Ingrid A. Moore of Atlanta, Ga.; two devoted sons, Morales Taylor
and Antonio R. Taylor; five grandchildren, Derrick, Latrice, Akia and Aisha
Taylor and Taylor Moore; mother, Mrs. Elsie H. Staten; one sister,
Celestine E. Walker; one brother, Clarence Staten; one daughter-in-law,
Vanessa N. Taylor; one son-in-law, D'Andre D. Moore; seven sisters-in-law;
five brothers-in- law; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one devoted
nephew, Curtis Walker; two devoted friends, Mamie L. Goins and Gladys S.
Williams; one god daughter, Cassandra Hamm; and other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave., where
the family will receive friends Tues day, 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday,
November 5, 1997, at 1 p.m. from Swansboro Baptist Church, Roanoke and
Midlothian Pike, where remains will lie in state at 12 Noon. Rev. Dr.
Herbert R. Plummer (Pastor) officiat ing, assisted by Rev. John W. Shelton.
Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church,
12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Buckingham, died November 24,
1997. He is survived by his wife, Gladys H. Taylor; three sons,

both of Hudson, Florida, and James A. Taylor of Richmond; two
daughters, Debra T. Cameron of Ashland, and
Patricia T. Clements of Hudson, Florida; two sisters, Mary Louise

of Manakin; two brothers, Wiley H. Taylor of Richmond and Ray Taylor
of Scottsville; and 12 grandchildren.

be held Saturday at 2 p.m., with inter
ment in Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends
