In my state of wonderment over the DAUPHIN/Dolphin thing, I left a few
pertinent facts out of my post!
I have done vast amounts of research in vital records and census
records...Because of the lack of anything being found for my ggrandmother, I
have had a theory for some time now, that her name might not have been Minerva
Jane.
Does anyone have any more info. on
Mary E. TAYLOR, b.1848 IN?
I looked at the children's names on Vickie's post and was a bit startled once
again!
Besides Theelo, my ggrandma Jennie had the following children: (that we know
of)
Carl (Charles) Frederick GREEN b. ca 1877 (died before 1880)
William ? GREEN/GREN b. 1882
John George GREEN/GREN b. 1883 (my grandfather)
Frank ? GREEN/GREN b. 1885
[Note: my ggrandfather was born Carl Gustaf ISHOLM in Sweden in the 1840s, he
changed his name to Charles GREN, but the surname was always listed in records
as GREEN. It wasn't until my grandfather and his brothers became adults that
the name was finally and formally changed to GREN.]
The 2nd puzzle is that of the given name of Theelo. I have searched for any
records with a person with this first name and cannot find another Theelo!
There are just one or two surnames which could possibly be pronounced
"Theelo". (This name does not appear to come from Marion Mason's family as
his line has been somewhat easier to trace...)
I was just wondering about the surname CREEL listed in Vickie's post.
Do you have any more info. on the deaths of Daniel & Eliza in the early 1860s?
TIA
Patti
