I am researching the TAYLOR surname......Alexander Taylor b. abt. 1835 in
Benton, TN married Lizzie (?) of Indian ancestry; 8 children: Susan, Alexander
Jr, Joseph, Henry, Mary, Louisa, Amy, and Isabella. I have been trying to find
Alexander Sr's parents. They may have come from VA or one of the Carolinas.
The Taylors moved to St. Martinville, LA [located on 1880 census for St.
Martin Parish]. Alexander Sr. died in New Iberia (year ?)
