A-11 Henry (Johan Heinrich Dieter) Teeter
b. 1743 Stroudsburg, Monroe Co, PA - IGI
d. 10 Dec 1804 Tompkins Co, NY probably from injuries received when his tavern burned 6 months before
m. Elizabeth Beidleman in 1766 in Springfield Twp., Bucks Co, PA, d/o Jacob and
Susana Beidleman (or Samuel and Elisabetha Beidelman)
b. 18 Jul 1748 (or 15 Jun 1749) d. 06 Apr 1804 in the fire at the
tavern they owned
bu. Both are buried in the Asbury Methodist Episcopal Cemetery at Lansing, NY
* He was an organizer of the German Lutheran Church in Springfield Twp, a Ranger of the Frontier and a Private 1778-1783 during the Rev. War. (From the PA Historical and Museum Commision 21 Jan 1981: Henry Teeter, Lt Northampton Co, PA 6th Battalion Co 5th Captain Henry Sewitz Class 5th May 14, 1778 residence Hamilton Twp). They moved to NY about 1793 where he kept a tavern.

*They moved to the "Lake Country" between 1795 and 1800

m. Elizabeth Whitlock on 04 Mar 1819
b. 25 Feb 1803 both buried at Blue Earth, MN
Jacob Teeter, born Jul 31, 1800 - Evangelical United Congregational Church, Milton & Scipio, Lansing Twp, Tompkins Co, NY
* Elizabeth went blind in middle age; about 1853 they moved from NY to Illinois, living there about 3 years; then moved to Dekalb Co, Illinois and 3 years later to Leeds, Columbia Co, Wisconsin; listed there in the 1860 census.
