Paul,

I have access to the death records for the State Hospital - they are at the
town hall. I will be near there today and can run and in check on her record.
It will tell you how long she was there, and what she died of. I have heard
other people being able to obtain hospital records, but I know nothing of how
that works.

The record I can look at will only show what she died of, but wont perhaps
explain why she was there for such a long time. She will have been in the
institutional part of the hospital until she was very ill, and then moved to the
hospital ward, which is more than likely where she died. If you are lucky, they
will give an underlying cause of death, which may give a clue as to why she was
there to begin with. And also where she was buried.

I cannot make a photo copy of these records. The town clerk has to make an
offical death certificate from the info on the books, and I can tell you from
experience, the death certificate will not include everything that is written in
the record. So I can go and write it down for you and email you back later
tonite with the info.

Jodi
