Hello Listers
Would like to compare notes, insights and
strategies with anyone having the surname Rutley
in their family.

Of particular interest is Joseph Rutley b Feb 4
1788 in Bern, Switzerland and his wife Catherine
Helmer b May 3, 1790. Catherine died 1872 in
Ontario, Canada
Also looking for several of their 11 children
including Margaret Helmer born 1813 adopted by
Joseph. As well as Josiah 1815, Alexander 1818,
John Joseph 1821,
Levi 1822, David 1824, Emanuel 1826, Mary Ann
1828, Leonard 1830, Archie Huff (or Hough) 1832,
Hiram 1834.

It is believed the family came to Pennsylvania by
way of the Carolinas.
