Yes, Nancy, this was interesting news. They are not married married into my
direct Stewart line, but I do have two Keith men: Robert Keith m. Louisa
Frances Poe. Robert probably died bef. 12 May 1867 when Louisa married John
Franklin Jackson in Liberty, Clay Co. MO. The other is much more recent:
Anita Helena Sylvia m. Joe Ed Keith (Jessamine Co. KY). They had a daughter,
Joey Beth, who was adopted by Anita's second husband.

I don't have any other information on these two Keith men or their parents,
but thought I would offer the little I had.

You might be interested to know that the Keith family (also originated
in Scotland) found their way down the Great Wagon Road into what is now
Pickens County, SC ca. 1785 and also have connections to the Royal
family of Scotland. Cornelius Keith tombstone at Oolenoy Baptist Church
has a seal from England to that effect. Very interesting to come across
in that little corner of the world.
