My Thompsons were Scotch Irish Presbyterians who came to SC some time before
the Revolutionary War. Robert Thompson died in 1772 in SC. Other names of
early Thompsons were Archibald, James, Samuel. They were members of the Old
Reformed Presbyterian Church in SC. They moved to Randolph Co. IL in 1804.
