Samuel Thompson m. Sept. 15, 1806 in Franklyn Co., Kentucky, Nancy Lillard.
He was according to old family histories (unconfirmed) the son of Leonard
Thompson, grandson of Joseph and Sarah/Sallie (Claiborne) Thompson. Samuel
Thompson died in late 1813 (Will dated August 10, 1813 proven December 13,
1813). Will mentions children Thomas C. Thompson, Lewis Thompson and Henry
Thompson. George C. Thompson, Richard Thompson and wife Nancy were appointed
Executors. Witnesses included John Thompson and ?Geo.? P. Thompson.

According to Stercula's Thompson material (TFM Vol. 9, #32, Winter 1970, pg.
16), Samuel Thompson, son of Leonard, m. 1796 in Mercer Co., Kentucky, Hannah
Hayes. No further information provided.

Does anyone know if, in fact, we're looking at one or two Samuel Thompsons?
Any information, including that about Hannah Hayes, which would account for
that 10-year period between 1796 and 1806 would be greatly appreciated.
