I am interested in the 2 Drury THOMPSONs listed. My gggGrandfather Drury
THOMPSON was born 1801 and died in 1872 in Cedar County Missouri. I have
two different birthplaces listed for him. One (from my greatUncle Norman
James who is the grandson Drury) has it listed as Virginia but on the Web
it is listed as South Carolina. Drury named one of his sons Waddy which
adds to the mystery. I feel that once we solve the Drury/Waddy mesteries
that a lot of others will be solved. I am new to this sort of thing and
would like to have some of you old timers give me some suggestions of
things that I should do. I live in North Carolina and can go to both
Virginia and S. Carolina to look.

My Drury married a HUDSON from Halifax County Virginia. They married in
Roane County, Tennessee.
Another family of THOMPSONs moved from Mechlenburg County, Virginia to
Roane County, Tennessee before moving to Christian County, Kentucky and
then on to Cedar County, Missouri. One of Drury and Louranie HUDSON's
children, William Henry THOMPSON my ggGrandfather lived in Christian
County, KY and had my gGrandmother there. They moved to Cedar County but
later moved to Logan County, Arkansas where they died and are buried. Hope
this information helps.
