I am looking for the parents of William Thompson, born abt. 1740 and
died June, 1785 in Duplin County, NC. He married Elizabeth Carter
whose will was filed abt. 1797 in Duplin County, NC. They had three
children: John Carter Thompson, Barsheba Thompson, and Benjamin
Thompson. Some of the children were found in Bladen County.
We cannot seem to go further back than William.
