Does anyone have anything on the ancestry of James R. Thompson and
his children, etc.? I have info on his son Charles and
descendants-glad to share. Also some pictures of Charles, and his
wife and family.

My great grandfather's (Charles Randolph Thompson) mother is Melissa
Gerry, born Oct 29, 1822. She married James R. Thompson (b. Dec. 26,
1818. According to census on my g'g'father, they were both born in
New York. They had three children: Georgia E. Thompson, b. Jan 24
1844; Charles Randolph Thompson, b. Jan 1 1846; James T. Thompson, b.
Oct 24, 1851.

Georgia married (nfn) Thomas. Lived in Nebraska. James R. was in
Wahoo, Nebraska with her in 1895. Georgia had a daughter, Kittie
L.Thomas (age 27 in 1895).

Just got the above info, so have not searched for James T yet, nor on
cursory surfing, much on Georgia or James R and his wife.
