Are you connected to the Thompsons of Brimfield? You will find Savage
referring to James and family in the quotes below. If you are, please
contact me for some possible sharing of info. I am a direct descendant
of the first James.

SAVAGE: p 202: under Blodgett:

"His wid. m. 15 Feb. 1644, James Thompson of Woburn; and his d. of the
same name m. 28 Nov. 1655, Jonathan Thompson.

SAVAGE: p. 285: under Thompson, et al:

"JAMES, Charlestown, with w. Elizabeth adm. of the ch. in the autumn of
1633, freem. 14 May 1634, was, says Frothingham, 82, one of the first
selectmen of Woburn. His w. by wh. he had Jonathan, perhaps b. on this
side of the ocean, as sure. was Simon, on the other side, d. 8 Nov.
1643; and he m. 15 Feb. foll. Susanna, wid. of Thomas Blodget of
Cambridge, had James, b. 24 Jan. 1646, or 7, d. soon; James, again, a.
1649; and perhaps others His w. d. 10 Feb. 1661; and he d. 1682. JAMES,
Woburn, s. of the preced. freem. 1674, m. 27 Jan. 1675, Hannah Walker,
had Hannah, b. 31 Dec. foll.; Joshua, 15 Sept. 1677; James, May 1680;
Ebenezer, 26 July 1683; and his w. d. 4 Feb. 1686; and by sec. w.
Abigail he had Richard, 21 Mar. 1688; Abigail, 30 Dec. 1689; Simon, 19
