I apologize for not responding sooner and someone else may have already done
so. I descend from William Thorne alsoand there is a lot of info on the
descendants of William. I have a lot of info on this family but my notes are
not very well organized and I do not have it all entered into FTM yet. They
were in Flushing Long Island New Yorkin the early 1600's and one of them was
an original patentee for Flushing. They were in Crosswicks, NJ during the
American Revolution. One of my ancestors, John Thorne, born 5-4-1730, married
Diadamia Ivins in April of 1753 and performed patriotic service, along with
his father Joseph, during the American Revolution. My ancestors then went to
Cabell Co., West Va and then to Carroll County, Arkansas. I know this isn't
much but I don't have time to dig through all my files at this time. However,
hoped that it would give you some leads on this line. This family or most of
them in NJ were Friends of The Society(Quakers).
More specifics later if you are interested.
Charlie
