I need some advice from other researchers please.
My WIlliam Thorn b betwenn1770-1780 was born in Virginia according to census information of his children. His first 5 children were all listed as being born in Va bet 1800- 1816.
Question:
In the 1810 Federal Census there were only
14 William Thorn/Thorne listed in the total census index.
8 were in New York, 4 were in Virginia, 1 in Maine and 1 in Ky.
There is one in Virginia which is in Prince William Co that matches my WIlliam. Could there have been a lot more William Thorns that was missed by the census back in 1810? Can I go by my strong assumptions that the one in Prince WIlliam Co is +90% my WIlliam Thorn?

I would like feedback from some of you that have been researching for some time please.
