Anne,
I have the trail of brothers Thomas (b.1850-Ireland) and James (b.1852-Ireland) through Canada and to the US. Also have some other children that were in Canada with parents, Thomas Sr. and Mary (Hughes). Would like to see if Thomas Sr. was a sibbling or cousin of your John (b.1833) or Catherine (b.1835). That could piece together some of the puzzle. Looks like families grouped together in Canada. You can contact me at and we can see if there is a connection.
