HI Sandy,
The two brothers were John and William. But there were so many John,
William, and Daniel's I guess they couldn't come up with any more new names.
In my database I have 61 John's, 27 Daniel's, and 25 William's. Talk about a
tough time trying to keep them all straight! Luckily my program gives
everyone an individual number. And almost everyone of those Daniel's have a
son named John.

Have you seen the little booklets written by F.T. Tilton back in the very
early 1930's? They have been the main resource for all the Tilton's in
America. His work was very well documented. But even at that sometimes
people misquote it.

What you have to do is let us know how you got back to your John and Daniel.
Dates, places, etc. Then we can help you follow your line back. Also, please
do post a Query on our Tilton Query Board, you'll find the address in my
signature.

No, there is only one Daniel that married a Wyckoff. This is what I mean
about people misquoting the facts.

As for the Applegate brides, we have Ann Applegate that married John Tilton,
son of Daniel and Sarah Wyckoff. Then we have Rebekah Applegate who married
John, son of Peter Tilton. I have tons on the Applegate family as they
connect on my Tilton line as well as on my Sparks line.

There is so much confusion as to the male names of the Tilton's because
generation after generation the names are repeated and there may be several
of the same name in one generation. Yes I sure do understand your confusion.

Hope this helps somewhat.
