Subject: TMG-L: Great aunt versus Grandaunt
Date: Sat, 24 Jul 1999 14:41:23 -0500

of heredity in Illinois, great aunt is the correct usage. TMG uses
grandaunt. Does it make a difference?
The dictionary has it both ways.
