Ian, I have been glancing over the back and forth on your problem and is
this what may have happened.

You imported form another data base where the place information was in
notes. But when you imported TMG put this place information in the
place fields as well as put the note in the memo. So you are getting
duplicate information.

Rather than trying to describe what is happening, transcribe and exaple
of a tag with the name date and place fields and the memo.

But why do you not want place information to appear in the place fields
and only in the memo? Because you have changed all the sentence
structures to delete [L]?
