You need to have either Windows 95 or 98. I have Windows 95 on my laptop
and 98 on the desktop. The easiest way to transfer the data is with a cable
using either Laplink or Microsoft's Direct Cable connection. It can be done
by using floppy disks and using backup and restore but you will lose any
sort dates that don't have actual dates with them. It doesn't matter
whether you upgrade or not, it will work either way. The only thing that
you have to remember to sync the machines as soon as you finish updating
either one or you will lose track of which is the latest data.
