Hi Bud -
I see others favor using the exclusion marker, which will also work. The
advantage I see to the alt-tag is that you can create a sentence for it
that that makes sense if you want to print it. Yes, you can do it for
marriage and death too.
Just make sure you put them in the proper groups. Then, you don't need
to copy the existing tag to change between the alt-tag and the regular
one. Just click on "event type" with the tag open and you will see a
short list of tags that are in that group. Select the one you want to
change type.
