Further on the topic of importing data researched by someone else:

When someone is doing research and looks up information in a Court House,
I identify the exact record as I would do If I had completed the research
myself but after record number I add a semicolon and then viewed by (who
ever did it).

When I am given information by someone based on what they know, I set the
source up as an "interview" and identify the informant, where the person
lived, the date, and my name as the interviewer.

When I am the third party, that is someone tells someone who passes the
information on to me, the informant remains the first person, the
interviewer is the person who told me and the date is the date of the
original exchange not when it was passed on to me. In the interviewer
field, I put the second person's name to my name on such and such date.

Informant: Jane Stover
Date: 6 July 1984
Informant Address: Jane Stover's address
Interviewer: John Fritzgerald to Donald Schulteis on 26 November 1999

This identifies and dates all exchanges of information which I believe to
be important.
