I do. I don't have many like this -- probably not more than about 2 or 3
dozen. In the situation that you mentioned, I might keep a separate
dataset if the number of persons was very large (say over a 100 persons).
But if I figured that I would be able to join most, then I might just put
them into my main dataset.
