Cassandra:
I have over 70 cemeteries in my dataset so Lee's suggestion will not work
for me - that is why I use a Cemetery Flag with values of N (default) and Y.
There are 2 considerations in all of this - the Burial Tag and a Cemetery
Flag. Have created several reports to get to my cemetery information:
~ List of Events Report
Focus Filter - Detail contains Cemetery End
Output columns if want report -
Detail
Prin1 Last, Given
Prin1 ID#
This gives you list for all Cemeteries - it will not pick up those who do
not have "cemetery" in detail field. A different "word" in the value field
of a Focus Filter would be necessary to pick up the rest.
~ List of People Report
Focus Filter - Any Burial Detail contains Dublin Grove End
Output columns if want report -
Name* Last, Given Names
ID Number
Birth* Date (thin)
Death* Date (thin)
This gives you list of everyone buried in a specific cemetery (Dublin
Grove). You can also use this for "graveyard", "burial grounds" or
"ashes" if you have used those words in the detail field of the Burial Tag.
~ List of People Report
Focus Filter - Cemetery Flag equals Y End
This report gives you everyone who has their Cemetery Flag set to Y. It can
be used to create a report or to create a custom Picklist as secondary
output - those are handy for editing a specific group of subjects. In order
to use this, you have to first set up a custom Cemetery Flag (see pages
169-173 of manual).
There are also other reports you can create but this gives you some ideas of
where to start. Since I can not see how you set up your cemeteries in
conjunction with sources and repositories, I am hesitant to comment on that
aspect. Hope this is helpful.
