Since you know that the siblings had parents, as we all do
or did, I do not see the "dummy" characteristic. All you do
is create a father (if you do not fill in anything, the siblings'
surname will pop into place--just tried it). It is not a "dummy"
father, it is a real father, known to have existed. You just do
not know anything about him yet. I had to put something into
the mother's name and used "unknown."

Sorry if this sounds like a semantics game (g). Maybe
someone else will give you a better answer.
