Sorry, Ken, if you have a Deed Tag in your dataset, it is a Custom Tag. A
Deed Tag is not a standard tag.
Barbara, for now all you need to do in the Tag Type Definition Screen is:
1. Replace the Label field entry of "New Tag" to the desired tag name that
you want.
2. Select the Other event Tag Group option (if it isn't already).
3. If you wish, make an entry in the Past Tense fields, but it isn't
required at this time.
4. Leave the GEDCOM field blank for now unless you have an entry to put there.
5. You may (or may not wish to change the Abbrev(iation) that is the
default. If you add Grantor and Grantee tags, then you might want Abbrevs
to be "gro" and "gre" respectively (or whatever).
6. You will probably want to change the Sentence Structures so that they
make some kind of sense. Click on the (Re)build Sentence Structures button
to create the initial entries. Then you can change them as needed. Or you
can just leave the initial entries and make changes in each tag. I prefer
to change here first to get the sentences close to what I might want in the
individual tags, but whatever you want is fine.
7. Click on the OK button to save the new tag.
Hope this helps -
