Iris and any other newbies,
I just want to add my words of encouragement to that of others. I too had a
difficult time "getting the hang of it" when I first switched to TMG and the
clean up work ahead of me seemed daunting. I sent many newbie questions over
many months and still do every now and then as I first try some feature I
hadn't yet gotten around to. I have no TMG user group within many miles of
me.
But this list truly is the most helpful and patient. Believe us when we
tell you that many, many questions are asked repeated and repeatedly
patiently and kindly answered. And being able to get an understandable and
knowledgeable answer usually within hours is a tremendous plus.
It may not be the easiest genealogy program to learn, but it is so very
worthwhile and soon you will have learned to love it.
