Subject: TMG-L: Picklist won't stay put; help needed ..again.

After opening TMG this morning immediately after booting up, I
went to the Picklist. Where there used to be 2 very narrow
columns first, one holding an * in front of some of the names
(primary name I think it is), now those 2 columns are gone and
the Death Date column is first. So I clicked on it and dragged it
to the right of the Birth column, (like you would do in Access
database table). But the next time I opened Picklist, Death had
taken the first column again. So I closed TMG completely,
re-opened it, opened Picklist and guess what! Death was where it
belonged, but now the Ref. Column has taken over the first
column. While dragging Death around I noticed that there is a
very narrow column at the end of the columns and it is the color
gray (and it doesn't hold any * either). There is also a gray
vertical stripe along the left side of the Picklist. During just
one of the opening/closing of the Picklists, there was a gray
area about 1/4 inch long in front of each Surname, but when I
clicked on a surname the one gray box would turn white, leaving
all the others gray.
I have checked the owners manual and the help screens; did a
review of all of the list mails that I have saved but can't find
anything that would tell me what may have caused this behavior.
Yesterday it was working fine; I had done a lot of work, a lot of
reports, a lot of data entry, etc. I also set accents for Anc
Int and made a new Candidate flag with an accent color. I have
done an Optimize and a Repair but other than squishing the file
in Optimize, nothing else came up as "no major problems" were
found. (Does that mean minor ones were???)

Could this have anything to do with an error report I sent to
TMG Support yesterday: --- #13/Alias 'RFILE' not
found./RPOBROW3/135 is the
contents of an error message which shut down the program. It
occurred when I clicked on the Research task button, set the
focus on Repository, and clicked on Search on the Repository
find screen. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? What I am
trying to do is assign a research task to a specific
repository, for example: Look for The Bicknell Genealogy
book at Allen County Public Library. I have ACPL set as a
repository (#3).

Am using TMG4.0 on a 450 Pentium w/128 mg ram and oodles of hard
drive space. Any ideas???
