The answer is actually in two parts. You can have as many flags as you want. The
flags can be kept permanently and the associated accent colors changed as you
wish.
You can assign 10 flag/value combinations at any one time to be represented by
accent colors( in ver 4.0). That is, you can have ten flags, each with one value
associated with an individual color combination, or one flag with ten different
values, or any combination. You can also set an additional color in case an
individual meets more than one of the flag conditions you have set.
If this is as clear a mud, ask again and someone should be able to clear it up.
