Hi,

using the German language option, I realized that I always have the
abbreviations (b./m./d./...) for "born, married, died, etc." in charts.

Editing the language translation did not help. Even when I remove
the German translations, I am not being asked for a new equivalent
when a chart is generated. So there seems to be no lookup in the
translation table in these cases.

Actually, I want to replace the abbreviations "b./m./d./..." with
their special genealogical characters. This could be done by either
translating them into "*/oo/+/...", or even by specifying a special
font to be used with only these "words".

The use of these characters is widespread, so I consider outputting
them as a standard task. Having to go through some kind of external
conversion each time I create a new report should not be the solution
in this case.

Also, how can I specify these characters for charts in English?
Will this be done by editing the "alternate" language set?

Does anybody have a solution for this? Was it already covered in a
previous thread? This is my second post as a new TMG user to this
list, and I was overwhelmed by the responses to my last question.
I might very well have overseen something, so please bare with me
in case I did...
