This has been discussed before and is clearly a buglet of no
consequence. As you noted, the .RTF file generated is intact.
You can ignore this error message and do nothing. Or you can make it
go away and induce an entirely different prompt.
If you wish... go to Tools / Options / Advanced and click on the "DDE
Commands" button. Scroll down the list on the left and click on Rich
Text Format (RTF). Click into the App File Name field and click on the
"Browse" button. Browse to your word processor of choice. Exit by
clicking the OK button. This will cause an entry to be written to the
TMG.INI file which will eliminate the message box when generating an
.RTF report.
For example, I selected Winword and the TMG.INI entry looks like this:
[DDE RTF]
APPFILE="C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~1\OFFICE\WINWORD.EXE"
Now when you generate an .RTF report, you will be prompted whether you
wish to open the generated report in the word processor you choose.
Whether this is an improvement over the earlier message is
questionable.
One might ask why you would want to generate an .RTF file in any case.
The report output is much better when you generate the report in a
format for the word processor of your choice and you won't get the DDE
error message.
