When I am "stepping through" the dataset (either using the full Picklist or
a filtered Picklist), I want to go to each person there, but I do not want
to repeat persons. Thus the Picklist may show non-Primary names which may
be used to find specific persons by their alternate names, but those are
skipped on the "step-through" method to prevent multiple access of the same
person.

This does have a minor disadvantage in that there may be rare times when
you want to see (for example) the spouses of a filtered group. However,
there is a work-around on this in that as you are looking at a person
(selected from the Picklist), you may double-click on the spouse of that
person to display the spouse, review and/or make changes, then select to
return to the prior person and continue the "step-through" of the picklist.
