Subject: [TMG] John Cardinal's TMG Companion Programs

New versions of TMG Utility, On This Day, and Mocakebi are available.
TMG Utility now includes more context information with the Change Citations
command. You can use the Change Citations command to quickly review every
citation to a particular source, changing them individually if desired. The
program displays the details of the tag to which the citation is attached.
If you are involved in a "source cleanup" you should check it out. If you
have a citation problem and you aren't sure if or how this command may be
able to help you, drop me a line.
(FYI: In the next version of TMG Utility, I expect to provide basic
Source/Repository reporting and exporting.)
On This Day has been updated, but only to include the new Mocakebi, and to
fix an install bug. If you select the "Add to startup" option, only OTD will
be put in the "Startup" group, rather than both OTD and Mocakebi.
Mocakebi has been significantly improved:
- Added Tree View which shows subject person, spouse(s) and children,
siblings, and 4 generations of ancestors, including birth/death dates.
- Tag Detail displays citations and witnesses. You can navigate
to the other principal or to a witness by double-clicking
their names.
- Search by Name is faster
- Search by Name re-opens to last results for faster navigation
in result set
- Windows re-open to their previous size and location
- All resizable windows include "size grip" in lower right-hand
corner
- Fonts can be customized by user
- Flag values are displayed in their own list
My thanks to all the Mocakebi beta testers! They were a great help finding
problems, and their suggestions really improved the application.
(FYI: In the next version of Mocakebi, source citations will be displayed in
the full footnote format, and I am also planning to display images.)
You can download TMG Utility or OTD from one of the following two sites:

As always, I am very interested in your feedback and suggestions.
John
