Learn something new everyday .. I guess I REALLY should read the manual.
Can I copy the files from the CD to the hard drive .. I have 'CD Swapping'
between that and my other genealogy CDs.

I do use AniMap .. it will not only give you the town but what county it was
in during the timeframe you are looking for.

: If you have the Gold edition, you have GEOBASE (Geographic Database from
the
: National Geographic Names Database) see Reference Manual pg. 181-189.
That
: will give you the county name for almost anything. Also, the 1854 U.S.
: Gazetteer will give you the county for many places as it existed in 1854.
: Of course the city or county might not have existed back then...but if you
: have the gold edition or a copy of UFT, you have it.
: If you have Silver, try www.rootsweb.com ---they have two places on
that
: web-site which will give you the county for any incorporated municipality.
