You don't need more than 2 Meg for document copying, in my
experience. I got marvelous copies of 8 1/2 by 11 pages, hand
held, with natural light, with a 2.1 Meg Cannon PowerShot S100.
You do need macro lens capability.

You might need the 3 Meg if you wanted to substantially crop
pictures after shooting, but better to frame them when you shot
if you can. I'd spend the money on more memory capacity so you
can take more pictures between downloads.
