Quite true - but -

Once that alleged improvement is asked for and the programmer gives clear and
convincing reasons why it violates one of the basic philosophical principles
upon which the program is grounded we must then accept the fact that while we
may see it as an improvement the programmer doesn't - and it is his vision
that will prevail.
