AFAIK no one has come up with this one before. What I would really, really
like is the ability to have a family group sheet and some of the other
reports print the persons nickname in the subject line like this. Honnorah
"Nora" Houlihan or Elizabeth "Betsey" Kidwell or Jane "Jenny" anyone of the
many Jane "Jennys" I have (should this be Jennys or Jennies <hehehe> or Mary
"Polly" etc. <<

This issue has been aired a few times and actually goes a bit further than
your examples.

Dealing comprehensively (and I doubt that Bob would tolerate less) with this
involves nicknames such as you've given, names changed by immigration clerks
(Mueller to Miller for instance), adoptions (President Gerald Ford began
life as Leslie King, Jr.), professional names (Frederick Austerlitz to Fred
Astaire) and probably an equal number of others.

Any of these changes needs answers to at least the following:

1. What is the desired name or nickname to replace that given at birth? Is
there more than one such change? <g>

2. On what date(s) would the name change(s) be applied?

Like you, I hope to see improvements in TMG5.
