Kathy,

Here is the detailed help I promised.

Before you do anything, make sure you do a backup of your database. If you have
never restored your database from a backup file, do that at least once to (a)
validate the backup file and (b) get some practice doing it. When you do the
restore, create a new database--don't write over your current copy.

Having a backup protects you from a problem with the software (there are no
known issues, but it pays to be cautious) and also protects you from yourself:
if you do something you didn't want to do, you can go back.

The two features of my utility that you need to know about are "Export
Sentences" and "Import Sentences". Export Sentences copies the sentences stored
in the tag definitions of a database to a text file. Import Sentences reads such
a file. Together, they may be used to copy languages, roles, and sentences from
one database to another.

See the Help Pages for the two features:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~johncardinal/tmgutil/sentexport.htm

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~johncardinal/tmgutil/sentimport.htm

Each of those pages has step-by-step directions. One aspect of this that has
confused other people is that you export all sentence information, which
includes sentence definitions for all roles in all languages, but you can
selectively import on a language-by-language basis. If you are only using
English, it amounts to the same thing.

Anyway, read the help pages above, and let me know if that helps.

John
