What I don't understand is the emphasis on features that I think I already have, such as Relationship calculator, date calculator and the like. What was not clear is what changes were made to those features that I do not already have in TMG 4.0d?

Some (perhaps many) of the features described will be familiar to users of TMG4, but are listed to describe capabilities that users of programs other than TMG may not now have available. It is intended to be used by people using many different programs, as a utility to aid analysis and research, and to produce charts with VCF. My understanding is that all the features of FTST will be included in TMG5. So getting FTST now gets you an advance on using some of the features of TMG5, but you would
not need to continue to use it once TMG5 is available. There is, accordingly, a nice price break for those that buy FTST now and later upgrade to TMG5.
