Hi, Caroline:

Actually, the first point answers the second ONLY if you have decided that a Palm is the right tool to use for data entry at all. Obviously, some have, and with varying degrees of success. My degree of success is low....

I have not only seen a folding Palm keyboard, I have used one. The keyboard is not the problem; it implements the idea quite nicely. The screen is another matter. I know there is *something* displayed on it, but for the life of me I can't tell what it is unless I want to risk curvature of the spine [grin]. Sure, if the light is good and the positioning is right, it's fine. But under those circumstances I would prefer to use a laptop anyway.

As I said, all the best to those who want to use a PDA that way. I hope while doing that, you discover one of *my* ancestors, and pass the word on to me. And I promise, if I find one of *yours* -- using my laptop for note taking, and my PDA for data portability -- I will do the same for you!!!

Darrell
