I agree with Doug, to a point. I have moved my data to 5.02 and am cleaning
up the import. I came from UFT to 4.0 and then to 5.0 so I have a lot of
cleanup to do. I am taking this time without reports to do a lot of cleaning
up. I am also adding new data when I can find time to research.
If I had a need to do a report for a family line, I would either just print
what was already in 4.0 or I would quickly add the new data for that one line
then print it. But in the meantime, it is clean up, clean up time. And
learn the program time. I would recommend going ahead and doing several
imports to see what data goes where, and then if you need to move things move
it in FTM since you are familiar with it. Also see what things aren't going
to go where you thought they were, and you can either edit them, or stop
imputing that kind of data.
Hopefully reports will be done before my data is ready, but I am planning on
having it near as ready as possible when the time comes.
