I think the problem is that I don't know exactly what I need. I have one
Thomas Pilkington born in Manchester, Lancashire, England in 1744. I would
like any information I can find on him and his ancestors. There is a Thomas
Purse born in London in 1766. That is all I know about him until he came to
the colonies. Also I have a lot of Scots ancestors who left Scotland in
droves after the war in the 1700's. I have no idea where to begin searching
for them. This is just a few of them, but representative of what I have.
