Myrnice - I don't understand what the problem is, then. However, with the
following sentence construct: [P]<[PAR]> was born <[D]> <in [L]>, this is
the result: MARY ELIZABETH PENNINGTON , daughter of SAULSBURY PENNINGTON
and ELIZA A. STEWART, was born in 1848 in Indiana. It doesn't matter how
you space or do not space the [P] variable in relationship to the [PAR]
variable, you still get a space *before* the comma which sets off the name
from the appositional phrase. This is very first sentence for this person
when an IN is generated. I guess I didn't understand the original problem,
but my particular problem is this persistent and unwanted space before the
parental phrase. If you know of some magic way to make it disappear, I am
all ears.
I am unsubbing in a few hours since I am leaving for the holidays tomorrow
and internet access in the Central American jungle is almost nonexistent.
Hopefully I will get a reply from either you or someone else prior to that
time. Or you can post to me privately and I will retrieve the message when
I return home.
Thanks for your assistance. Happy holidays to everyone on the list. Do you
think Santa will leave us a complete TMG 5.0x under our tree? <vbg> It may
be like that pony I kept asking for when I was a kid.

I believe that is what I said.
"> There is only one comma/space inserted. It is inserted just before the
[PAR]

As for the use of [P1] instead of [P] you will get an output like this:
"William Myrnice Roberts. He, son of yada and yada, etc."
Notice there is no space between "He" and the comma but you do get the
name/pronoun or name twice.
