Subject: [TMG] Little things that I like in TMG v5.04

OK I will admit that I am waiting patiently/impatiently for the "List of
People Report" so that I can use it to change flags easily and then be able
to select people for CD-ROMs using Second Site BUT there are many little
things that I like about TMG v5.04 now that I have finally changed over and
am using it as my only TMG program. I say "little things" because they are
not world shattering but they help.

Today's "little thing" is the ability to produce a filtered Master Events
List with all those events which happened at a selected place. I can go to
the Master Place List, highlight a place, click on "Events" and I can see
what events happened that particular place. Sometimes I have found other
family members living in the same place, but the most helpful use at the
moment is in tidying up the place list from a GEDCOM file. This particular
GEDCOM file had all sorts of extra things in the place list some of which I
want to keep and would be best as a memo. So I can click on "Events",
select the event I want, click "edit", up comes the tag entry box and I can
transfer the comment over to the Memo field, and then go back and tidy up
the place entry. I don't have to come out of the Master Place List each
time, find the person, the event, make the change, go back into the Master
Place List and start again.
