Patt,
I am curious why you want to transfer your TMG database to FTM to search for
people? The FTM search capabilities are primitive compared to those of TMG.
And the basic searching for people in TMG is not complicated.
Plus FTM today costs a minimum of $40, depending on the bundle you get.
