Evelyn, I defrag my 8.4 GB drive in about an hour. Before starting
defrag turn off all open programs, turn off screen savers and power
saver. Every time a program does something automatically, defrag sees
the change and starts all over again. Even with the above turned off,
it may take a couple of passes to do it.
