John, Thanks for the idea. But you must be getting different results than I
am. If I do as you say, and take the quotation marks out of the SortSurname
and SortGiven fields, I still get them in the PE:

Hammon", "Christianna

Is that a bug?

Why not put the quotes in the name fields? I know you said you don't want
them
to affect sorting, but you could delete the quotes from the SortSurname and
SortGiven fields so that sorting was unaffected.
