Is it safe for me to use TMG in light of the following?

I am also getting a 13,985 download and have tried every which way -
saving to my downloaded files directory, and to my TMG directory but
each time it is the same size.

"Check for an update" has never worked for me. (I am in Australia.)
When I tried opening and installing direct from the Wholly Genes website
I got an error message which I accidentally clicked on too quickly to
record. I don't think it was exactly the same as Peter's (below).

To see whether I could get another error message I tried installing the
update I had saved in my TMG folder. All proceeded without a problem, I
restarted and opened TMG and it shows as 5.09.

Is it safe to proceed, or am I missing some of the update? My update
file is definitely 13,895kb.

That sounds like it was a bad download. Did you check the file size?

should be 14319620 bytes.
